Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't show up in the Desktop for Mac either. I think I was a little unclear before; when I said it appeared in Purchased items, I meant only under My Account, not my Library.
When I click on the book in My Account/Purchased list, it takes me to the book page with a link to View in Library. Clicking on that link takes me to my library, but the book isn't there.
