Exactly. If you don't want Kobo to have high book prices, then don't reward them by buying the book at their inflated prices.

Shop around. If you go along with being 'locked in' when there's no reason to, then the price you pay is on your head. If Kobo can make more money charging higher prices, that's good business for them.

Shopping around is absurdly easy in this digital world. It's hardly onerous to push a few buttons or click a few times in order to get a better price.
