Yes - I was a bit surprised myself. Although it does not seem to be an unknown problem for this wireless chipset. It would seem to be some sort of timing issue possibly relating to the SD card that I'm booting off. I've tried two thus far both SanDisk Class 10s and have had the same problem with both. So I could try installing Obunto on the M92 itself. I haven't tried that yet.

Nor do I know which config file governs the boot sequence but just giving it a bit more time might also be a solution which seems to have worked in some cases. A USB hub seems to work so next I'll probably try attaching another wireless adapter to it. It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem as the Onyx software detects wireless networks. So there are still quite a few options open to me, which I'll keep progressing through.

I haven't spent any time at all on the battery indicator issue as it isn't a big part of my intended use, certainly at this point, to use the M92 as a mobile device. My intended use seems similar to seaniko7's, who uses the M92 to develop on. So I usually have it plugged in.

Obunto is incomplete and under-developed in certain respects as should be apparent from this thread. But I will say that, if one can accept the inevitably shortfalls of such e-ink devices, it opens up remarkable possibilities that were before simply not really intended or possible for them such as that mentioned above. It should also be apparent that most of the people posting in this thread (including myself) aren't particularly well placed to address the shortfalls in its current state of development. It all depends on what use one has for it and one's capacity and willingness to adapt it to one's needs.

I haven't really seen any indication of what the usual battery life of the M92 is like (for instance, on these forums), let alone running Obuntu. I presume the immediate problem (from the posts in this thread) is that there just is no battery level indicator. I haven't seen one, although I haven't really looked for one either. I have no idea as to how difficult it would be to add one and for it to work adequately.
