I got the Touch. It does pretty well. Can't use the software that dickloraine recommended.

I usually print out pages but I can save web page as full HTML or copy it and open it in Libre Office.

Where does Amazon store the books, and can you specify which books to keep in cloud storage?

There are a lot of interesting cookbooks which I don't mind buying, but I probably won't do 75% of the recipes. I've found that I can copy and paste from both the Kindle reader for PC and Calibre into Libre Office. I can then format pages to my taste and export as PDF. I wouldn't want the whole cookbook taking up room on the device or my computer.

Eventually I can format my own cookbook compilation in Libre Office as a PDF.

I've converted a couple of pages and used a recipe the other day. The Kindle did very well. I will invest in a stand and a cover.
