Its been the case since Sainbury's opened for business. When Sainbury's started their ebook store they didn't start from scratch. They bought Anobii. They're also tied to a number of the BPH. I know Penguin is one, but can't remember the others. When they first opened for business this information was displayed on the home page, but has since disappeared.
