Dang! I'd never really noticed how tooth some these guys are. I think Strider's canines are close to an inch.
Other than a lot of verbal stuff nothing has happened. The few times it sounded like it was escalating Aragorn actually got involved with a few basso profundo WHUFFS! And I'm pretty sure I saw a great big black furry paw holding down a cat tail.
I wonder if I should separate them when I go out?

Well, she may
smell funny to him. I would separate them until you get back. Once the hissing, etc. has died down and he seems to know her again, you're likely safe, but with my two, even a short vet trip (an overnighter, I mean) can cause strife. Once she "smells recognizable" to him, things ought to settle down.
That's my $.02, FWIW.
