Icarus Illumina E653
Firmware 1.0.0.-2014121109
After a fresh start with firmware package sent to me by Icarus less than a week ago, I basically start with a clean slate (far less apps than were on the device when bought two weeks ago).
After installing nova launcher and using the T6 Toolkit provided by NightBoy, I see that PlayStore v. 4.1.1. has been installed. When I launch the programme, I am asked for my google account credentials. Checking the newly established account (settings-account management) reveals a sync error.
However, checking the google account from the pc, reveals Android device was synced.
Calling up PlayStore leads to the infamous "No connection - try again" screen. However, if I use the search function in spite of the error message, I am supplied with search suggestions which proves that the PlayStore app is online.
I have tried the usual clear cache, clear data, remove accounts.db from root, change WiFi settings - all to no avail. I have run out of ideas.
Of course I can use the little racoon programme for downloading apps from google playstore which are free. However, I have a problem if i have to pay.
