I'd like to transfer my previously bought Nook books to the Voyage, but as people in this thread state, the download option is gone from B&N. Is there an easy way to retrieve these books? I still have my old Nook if that makes a difference--although Calibre doesn't seem to see them.

If you're using Windows, I'd recommend Nook for PC to download your books as it can be set to download all books automatically. Whereas, Nookstudy will only download one at a time. You'll still probably need Nookstudy to retrieve your key. (As well as calibre and Apprentice Alf to be able to convert the epubs to kindle format.)
