It really just depends on how it hits when it falls. I haven't dropped my Kobo Glo yet, but I've dropped my Sony 350 while reading outside at the lakefront onto concrete at least 3x that I can remember from a 2.5'-3' height and not a scratch on it. A few softer drops onto my bed or carpeting that I didn't even give a 2nd thought to after the concrete drops.
