Hey, thank you for your quick answer. Yes, Windows assigned the letter K. I manually changed it to D:, just in case, to no avail.
BUT, I found the culprit, and I'm publicly denouncing it, so it might help someone. It's Asus USB 3.0 Boost, a optional program that comes with AI Suite III, Asus motherboards' management software. It's supposed to speed up USB devices transfer rate.
The second I disabled the "turbo mode" for the Kobo (which had been enabled by default by the way, I didn't actually do anything apart from not saying no to USB 3.0 Boost when installing my new mobo softs), it appeared in Calibre.
Problem solved !
