It should also be noted, as you will find if you hang out here enough, that more often than not, actions by Kobo are not really mean-hearted attempts to beat money out of people. They are just random. Inexplicable. They often appear to update code in one country but not another (checkouts, for example). They sometimes seem to...well, let's just say that if they were an evil empire, they'd fail. It's more like watching the night sky and wondering where the next falling star will appear...will my coupon work? Will it work in some countries or no countries? Will it keep working after expiration? When it does work, will the book download?
