I don't understand.

The steps I would try:
  1. Uninstall CC
  2. Ensure that the SD card is in the device
  3. Format the SD card using the device
  4. Reinstall CC.
At this point the folder Android/data/com.multipie.calibreandroid should exist.

My suspicion is that it is /Android that is causing the problems.
