If I subsequently launch "adb reboot-bootloader" nothing happens in the command window. By the way: what do you mean with "download mode"? I get a sound signal and
- Icarus (Drive Letter) has disappeared. I can no longer access the Icarus root directory with my file manager.
Nothing changes in the Rom Dumper Tool Window. What I do not understand (and I haven't done in yet) is the following:
In which directory am I supposed to place the "Icarus_boot1.img" image when progressing and ticking the system partition and adding the address provided by you (0x00008000)?
What is the advantage of using the "Icarus_boot1.img" file as opposed to the "boot.img" file contained in the update.zip container?
I can only apologize once again for being so dumb, but obviously I am a bit scared of ruining a device, which I have only used for a day and which stalled after trying to run the firmware update provided on the Icarus Site.

Many people asked the same question "What is the download mode" and here is an answer:
https://android.stackexchange.com/qu...-download-mode
It could be called "boot-loader mode" too.
Now to get into download mode (two ways):
1) You can use the adb command which I posted
2) Follow these steps:
Quote:
a) Disconnect your device.
b) Turn off your device by pressing & holding the power button for 10 sec.
c-Connect the USB cable to your device after holding the Refresh Button for 7-8 sec.
d-Keep holding the refresh button for few seconds until you see "Found one Loader Device" message in Rom Dumper Tool
|
But, before installing boot.img, could you tell which update bricked your device ?
is it the official update from Icarus's website ?
