I don't recommend this if your reader is working! I don't know the differences between the 505 and the 600. I have never used a MAC and I am not a very technical person. I don't even know if you can downgrade. Maybe someone else will come along and help you determine if it is safe to use this download.
Otherwise, maybe you have a friend with a Windows PC that can help you out or a library in your area that has computers for use. |
Hi goldilocks, thanks it's nice that you are trying to help but I feel this does not help at all. My reader is not unusable, I described in detail why I want to downgrade. I do not have a PRS-600 but a PRS-505. And I don't need 1.0.01.08040, I need 1.0.0.18040 as I wrote. And I also made clear that I do not have access to any flavour of Windows.
Again, thanks for trying to help, but your answer only distracts and does not add anything helpful, as I have a very specific question and I tried to describe in detail as best as could, for what problem I am looking for help and provided detailed version numbers etc. Sorry but I really don't see the point of your answer.
