From previous reports I think this happens if the SD card was formatted and used in a different phone. Kitkat does all sorts of weird things with permissions, and apparently the "user" that creates folders can differ between phones.
Things to try in increasing order of destructiveness.
- Remove the folder Android.data.com.multipie.calibreandroid
- Remove the Android folder. Of course, this will remove data from other apps (if there is any)
- Reformat the SD card and try again.
You can also try checking the advanced option "SD Cards on Android 4.4+" (Tarjetas SD en Android 4.4+) at the bottom of the settings. The problem is that if the permissions are wrong then manually navigating to the folder won't fix anything.
