I have a Sony Reader PRS-505 running official firmware 1.1.01.25200. I want to downgrade it to 1.0.0.18040. I do not own or have access to any form of Windows, however I do have a Mac Book Pro running OS X 10.10.2.

Is there any way how using this Macbook, I can downgrade my PRS-505 back to 1.0.0.18040?

Reason why I want to do this: Ultimately I want to install the PRS+ firmware on my Reader. I already tried, however ran into similar problems like discussed in this thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=171266. I need to downgrade my Reader to 1.0.0.18040 first before I install PRS+. But I do not have access to any flavour of Windows, I only have Mac OS and now I'm stuck.
