Unfortunately, short battery life is pretty much the price of getting Android on an eink tablet. Android is just not optimized for eink - it expects to refresh the page several times a second, which is not how eink works.
AFAIK, there are only 3 Android eink tablets on the market, the 2 Boyue models and the Onyx T68. Both have their problems, look over the forums.
I'd stick with an LCD table for doing tablet-y things, and use a standard eink reader for reading on. I'd only use an eink tablet if I absolutely could not afford both.
