This is why I asked the question. CHM and DJVU are not what would be called "popular" formats around here and finding a device that will read them natively puts you into a much smaller range of possible devices.

PDF's are a whole different thread full of arguments of suitability of any e-ink device for reading them , but critical to include as a desired format if you're asking about a device.
