I'm not sure how to go about determining where this problem is happening.

I have several epub ebooks in Calibre that I can click on and they read fine on my Windows 7 pc from within Calibre. They also read fine in the Icecream Ebook epub reader on my pc.

I transfer them to CC and the transfer appears to be fine. But none of the ereader apps I have on my tablet (Nexus 7 2013) can read them - I have Mantano, PocketBook and FBReader. They are old books, so I don't know what format they started in when I first got them and maybe converted them. Of course, they are out of "print" and are by a couple of my favorite authors, or I'd just shrug and not worry about it. I'm not sure whether there is an error in the books themselves, or in the transfer somehow or possibly all 3 of my ebook reader apps have the same front end. If anyone can show me a starting point, I'd really appreciate it.
