If you prefer to turn device off rather than sleep, why would a screen saver matter?
I don't need a timer. Never would work for sleep. I don't use screen savers on anything. I just turn the device off. Since device isn't in use every day, no big deal. Computers just go black after a certain time. That isn't really a screen saver.
I don't have room for a laptop where I'm cooking. Flour would wind up down the keys as would any other powdery ingredient.
Do you get the same benefits of the Kindle if you use the app? I can probably find an even cheaper android wifi only tablet and use that, but I do prefer eink for reading anything. Tablets glare.
I don't want any app like Kindle, Nook, Kobo on more than one device. Since I have both an Android tablet and a phone I don't want Google books at all.
