Ah... FireFox vs Chrome is more than enough, as I said above.

Adblock Plus (or forks ) is excellent advice on general principle, however, it doesn't really answer the malicious warning issue. Ghostery is actually quite useless in this regard, it is to prevent tracking, and while I myself use it, there aren't really a lot of user-noticeable changes.



In any event, the problem was solved.
