I have the same problem!! Upgraded my smartphone last night and noticed gaps in the book I'm reading using Caecilia font. Switching to Georgia or Palatino appears to fix the problem, but I prefer Caecilia. Well, Bookerly is actually my favorite Kindle font, but that's only available on my Kindle Fire. Hopefully this will get fixed in a subsequent update of the Kindle app.
