https://github.com/koreader/koreader/releases
From what I remember, Frenzie edited the suspend script so that koreader will exit when the power button is pressed. This was a temporary fix because the older code would cause the reader to crash and we couldnt find out how to put the device in suspend mode. Frenzie's changes may have been removed in a later build. Cause I don't see it anymore in the file suspend.sh
Try downloading and installing the latest from the link above.
if that doesn't work,
Can you also try updating your firmware and see if it would have any effect?

I use Kobo Glo, with The Kobo Start Menu and Koreader installed. The firmware of nickel is the latest (3.12.1), the Koreader is also latest one, as of February 9. Sorry if I could not explain correctly, but everything works fine. If I slide (short slide) power button when Koreader is opened, it goes to the sleeping mode (cover of book appears). When I used nickel, I always used long slide power button to shut down the reader (I think it saves energy). Now I am using Koreader and to power off the reader I have to exit koreader and then shut it down from menu. Then when I want to continue reading, I should open Koreader, choose the book and turn on frontlight (it is not so convenient) So the thing I'm asking is, if it is possible to add "power off function" to the Koreader's menu (or to set "long slide power button" to shut down, the same as in nickel)? Thank you very much.
