Well, yesterday I finished reading The Executioner's Song by Normal Mailer; 1100 pages of completely engrossing reading about murder, death row, mental health problems and every emotion under the sun. As soon as I finished I started reading The Age of Innocence, but I hadn't quite shaken the other from my head.
So, I had tortured dreams of a dapper Daniel Day Lewis in a dirty death row cell, waltzing with a burly correctional officer!
Perhaps I should have just watched some TV.
