Gee, what a surprise. The paid ebook-converter-and-all-in-one-DeDRM program that casually rips off Alf's work and sells it, and recommends you steal library books, is also in violation of the GPLv3 because they rip off calibre too.
Not that I approve of their actions but it is (in a way) a backhanded compliment that at least they steal (programming) from the best. You can't find a better storage/ebook converter than Cailbre I tjhink. And Alf's work is useful for helping to back up books that a person has purchased so they don't have to just rely on the cloud alone (if they don't want to). Still I agree that they shouldn't be marketing the work of others as their own and making a profit to boot. Kovid offers Calibre for free and of course Alf can't legally sell his/her work so why should these people benefit from it?
