As long as you aren't syncing at any time you have the book, Amazon only knows you bought it. They wouldn't have any other info if it's read and deleted off the device before connecting to Amazon. Theoretically. It is possible they are storing some things, but they probably aren't bothering if something came and left the device while it was 'offline.'
