It seems Adobe's Text Touchup Tool is not really suited to global changes akin to changing the font size in an entire document.
Am I missing something? Is there no way to make the Reader and PDFs work well together? I realize that if I'm creating my own PDFs, I can set the font size before creating the PDF. But if I receive an unencrypted PDF, is there a way to change the font size without working line by line or paragrah by paragraph?
I'm desperate! Thanks for any and all assistance.

There are two things I do when adapting a PDF, depending on the presence of images. If there are none, I save it as a .DOC, edit it and print it as a PDF.
If there are images, I save it as .DOC and as .HTML. I edit the DOC and use the images from the HTML file.
The DOC I create has a 9x11,7 cm size. I use 13 pts font, but that is up to you. Edit the doc (margins, fonts...) to your personal likings.
As for the images, I edit them so they are 166 dpi and have either a maximum height of 11 cm or width of 8, whichever is more restrictive.
I ensemble it all together and print it as a PDf. Voila...
