Yes.
With the Kindle 3/Kindle Keyboard, and probably the earlier models, you can press Alt-Shift-G simultaneously to take a screen shot. A .gif of the screen is then saved in the Documents folder. Connect the device to a PC, and you can then make a high-quality print.
Not real convenient, but will work for the occasional recipe found in a Kindle-format cookbook.
And I just verified that it still works with the new version 3.4.1 software.
