Great Whispersync Companion Deal on The Fracture Zone: A Return to the Balkans.

I happen to be engaged now in listening to this audiobook little-by-little, and coincidentally came across this Whispersync deal for it. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this deal and I paid quite a bit more for the audiobook than what I could have gotten it for with this deal. And, I already owned the Kindle ebook, and would have had to pay only for the Whispersync audio companion! doh! But, being the magnanimous person that I am, I didn't want to keep you from grabbing the deal just because I didn't. Isn't that nice of me? (ha)

The Balkans, as you probably know, is the large geographic area north of Greece. It has a large number of ethnic minorities, the friction between which has led to numerous repeated wars and other conflicts through the ages. Religious differences between the peoples has led to wars and conflicts, also. Probably more wars/conflicts occurred there in the last century than any previous time in history. U.S. President Clinton sent peacekeeping troops there in the 1990's, during a conflict then.

I suppose that I could whet your appetite for the ebook/audiobook before telling you about how to get the deal. Well, as I said, I am currently listening to it. I really like it. Don't think, "dry history book," because it's not that! The author, after having had a vacation in the Balkans many years before, takes another trip there. He gives information about the history of the Balkans by telling about what happened at the various places and sights that he goes to. When you get through reading/listening, you have gotten a comprehensive history of the Balkans. It is an approach that makes the audiobook easy to listen to and interesting! If you would like further information, I suggest that you avail yourself of the book description at Amazon and at Audible (they are different from each other).

Here's how you get the deal. Buy the Kindle ebook, The Fracture Zone: A Return to the Balkans, by Simon Winchester, for $0.99. Then buy the Whispersync companion for only $3.99; you can do that on the same page at Amazon as is used to tell about the ebook, if you would like to (alternately, you can go to the Audible page and take care of it). Total for the audiobook and ebook, plus the Whispersyncing benefits--just $4.98!

The Kindle ebook is 272 pages long, resulting in the audio running 8 hours and 7 mins. The ebook is rated 4 1/2 stars, from 23 reviews at the present time; the audiobook is rated 4.00 out of 5, from 24 ratings at the present time.
