Hmmm.. well, I suspect the Kindle drained it's battery (and possibly filled its memory) by trying to index the 3,000 books you put on it.
I would expect that it should be possible to get it back in working order with some kind of hard reset, but my knowledge of such procedures isn't up-to-date.
I expect that someone will be along shortly who will know how to help.
