If anything I don't think there is enough of these type of books or at least good ones the last one I remember reading that was even anything like that was "Out of the Dark by David Weber".

The only others I remember were World War by Harry Turtledove and Footfall by Larry Niven I actually enjoyed all those books and would read more if I could find them.
