(one summer, a friend of mine showed me the books she was planning on taking on vacation with her to her parents' house. there were about 20 of them. a few days before i took the train down to join her for a weekend, she called me and asked me if i could go and buy her another book, because she had read all of the ones she took and they didn't have the one she wanted in the village where her parents live.
