Yeah, that's how I felt about it too. While I do love some of Milan's books, I don't think I've read anything by hers that I didnt *like*.

I'm really interested to read a romance with a trans heroine. That's something you don't usually see in mainstream romance. The last book I read like that was _Almost Perfect_ by Brian Katcher (YA) and that went from romantic to tragic pretty fast.
