For the 3rd month in a row, we're getting another batch of assorted series-introductory romance titles ranging in length from long stories to short novels, free courtesy of publisher Kensington, who've been quite generous with the periodic promotions from their Lyrical Press and eKensington lines, from which these offerings are coming once again.
This is a somewhat narrower subsubgenre selection than previously, but if you like mostly f/m contemporary and/or sci-fi romances (and also if you like ménages), then you've got a few new things (and one repeat) to try reading this time around.
(ETA: an m/m paranormal repeat has been added, and these are now all free @ B&N (also UK) & Google Play as well as Amazon.)
Normally, Kensington generously makes these free in all the standard stores in multiple regions, but propagation for a lot of the usually multi-store promo freebies has been glitchy so far this month, so these have only shown up at Amazon, but I'm sure they'll make it to the other stores eventually, as Kensington is usually pretty generous about keeping their freebies available for a week or three.
- Her Best Shot by Shannyn Schroeder, 1st in her Hot & Nerdy series of f/m contemporary "new adult" romances pairing up Exactly What It Says In The Series Title, this installment starring a math-loving geek girl and a hot pool shark @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Price-drop-check linkage @ B&N (also UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play.
- Cooking Up Love by Gemma Brocato, 1st in her Five Senses series of f/m contemporary romances dealing with careers involving one of each, this installment being a slightly suspense-y (but not an actual dedicated romantic suspense, according to the customer reviews) "taste" version with a chef who's been bequeathed a café by her late aunt who may or may not have died under suspected mysterious circumstances @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Price-drop-check linkage @ B&N (also UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play.
- Rock Bottom by Cate Masters, her standalone-looking f/m contemporary journalist covering rock star romance @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Price-drop-check linkage @ B&N (also UK), Kobo (two listings, both for ADE ePub) & iTunes & Google Play.
- No Refuge by Annie Nicholas, 1st in her Known Universe series of f/m humans-disguised-as-aliens on-the-run adventure romances, whose premise does sound somewhat interesting @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Price-drop-check linkage @ B&N (also UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play.
- Being Amber by Sylvia Ryan, 1st in her New Atlantia series of sci-fi dystopia erotic romances, this one featuring an ménage a trois (genders not specified from the blurb, but there's at least an f/m component to it), @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Price-drop-check linkage @ B&N (also UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play. This one is a repeat from December's offerings, in case you missed it then.
- ETA: another repeat from December has popped up free again:
Exterminating Angel by Pamela Turner, an m/m paranormal romance novella (probably erotic, the blurb says there are some graphic descriptions, though that may be for the violence they also warn for), @ B&N (also UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Google Play (available to Canadians). Price-drop-check linkage @ Kobo & iTunes.
If you happen to be moved to pick up further installments in any of these series, Kensington titles are couponable @ Kobo and otherwise eligible for discounts/rebates at other retailers which carry them (and offer discounts/rebates).
