sorry to resurrect the thread but it is the same problem.

I reset my Kindle and now get the dreaded internal error. I contacted support but they say that since the device is past its warranty period they can not help. They tried to re-register from their end but failed.

If I jailbreak my Kindle may I be able to connect to my account?
