Yes it does which I don't mind because with that app I never had to worry about forgetting to charge something and I'm not really charging more either which is strange. I thought I would be leaving WiFi on but it's hasn't change much at all. You can actually turn WiFi Off from that app on any device the app is installed on but you can't turn it back on of course from the app.
If you do turn WiFi off make sure next time you turn it on to Open the app so it will update the status of that device.
