Would anything prevent him from using a free wordpress site then redirecting his domain name there, perhaps with 'cloaking', at the DNS level?
I used to do this with my ISP-provided free sites.
Then he can try wordpress totally for free and easily redirect users elsewhere if he decided to move to another host.
