@snapinto - I use calibre version 2.18 (64bit) and Sigil (32bit) which both use Qt5 5.3.2 and neither interferes with the operation of the clipboard on Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit.

I copy paragraphs from the calibre viewer regularly, often several times a day, and paste them into my journal/diary. I also cut and paste from Sigil and the calibre book editor into Words Find box. I rely heavily on Shelltoys clipboard history - I'd pull the plug on calibre if it interfered with the clipboard.

The Clipboard Fusion program I use for markup scrubbing has a clipboard history feature, I just tested it by clipping stuff from the calibre viewer, the comments panel, the book editor and the Manage authors list, I was able to paste the clips to xplorer2 (file manager), Word and Live Writer. And what I copied is still in the history list.
