Treebooks, I can just about accept paying more for, given the extra cost of getting books all the way to us (although that has never quite covered locally published books) but I have never yet heard a satisfactory explanation as to why we pay up to twice as much, and even more sometimes, for ebooks.
You usually need a 50% or higher code to bring the cost of an ebook in NZ down to similar to a full priced copy from the US. If the book is even coupon eligible.

Free worldwide delivery and only slightly higher prices than Amazon. In fact they are amazon owned but UK based.
I buy from them all the time. I get my books in about 5-7 workdays. It might take a bit longer since you're in NZ and I'm in Europe, but I still got my treebooks in reasonable time even when I was in Japan.
They sell mainly UK editions (which I prefer anyway, because covers), but they have some US ones too.
