Well these two 1st Gen Kindles are identical,
but only one user regularly used the weather via 3G access.
(The other user was not interested, so unknown if weather
was accessible on the 2nd 1st Gen Kindle.)
And yes, the weather bookmark was regularly used, by user#1;
the weather bookmark was originally installed with
the Kindle 1st Generation default everything --
the bookmark came with the Kindle.
At this point both users report that
neither the default originally installed weather bookmark
nor classic.wunderground.com
work. As do NOT any other URL, even amazon.com,
using the experimental browser.
But these following are all functional, to my complete mystification:
"Shop in Kindle Store"
"Sync & Check for Items"
"Content Manager"
