Lady of the Gun by Faye Adams, an f/m western historical romance originally out from Pocket in 1996. I like how someone's trying to sell a "New" paperback copy for $2585.58 + $3.99 shipping. Meanwhile, merely "Collectible" used copies range from a reasonable $2.99 to an unreasonable $1743.30 for one described as having wear to spine and corners, as well as markings from previous owner (presumably the previous owner is not Adams herself and the markings are not her personal notes on the book). For that much money, I could probably bribe the actual author to part with her original freebie-from-the-publisher copy (assuming they gave her one) and sign it in the process, as well.
Cassidy Wayne has become a legend...Lady of the Gun. The fastest gun anyone has ever seen, she exacts her revenge on the men who murdered her family and destroyed her life. She's followed the trail until it went cold and she ended up back home in Twisted Creek. There's one man left, the man with the silver gun, and she suspects he never left Twisted Creek....but how to prove her theory and finish her vendetta.
U.S. Marshal Brett Ryder has been sent on what he's sure is a wild goose chase to find the infamous Lady of the Gun. He's certain the rumors are false. No woman could be so fast or so ruthless. Then he meets Cass and learns quickly how fast she really is with a gun. But there's a lot more about Cass that he learns...like how beautiful and passionate she is in the moonlight. He's totally unprepared for Cass in every way and is determined to keep her alive while trying to thwart her quest for revenge. He wants the chance to see what the future might bring but there can only be a future if Cass remains alive.
Cass is willing to admit that Brett is attractive....more than attractive, but she won't let her attraction to him get in the way of finishing what she started. She won't stop until the last murder is dead by her gun.

The Devil's Deception by Doreen Owens Malek, 3rd in her Men of Intrigue Trilogy of f/m contemporary romantic suspenses, this installment involving a mafia princess and her undercover FBI bodyguard, originally out from Silhouette in 1985.
DEVIL’S DECEPTION has a mafia princess for a heroine and an FBI Bureau Chief for a hero, so the story gives new meaning to the notion of “opposites attract.” Brett Devlin is a fed planted in the home of Angela Patria in the guise of her bodyguard to get the goods on her drug smuggling uncle. When Devlin finds himself instantly attracted to the lonely, withdrawn beauty who is Patria’s innocent niece, his life becomes complicated very quickly. It is Devlin’s job to be with Angela at all times since he is supposed to be protecting her, and this task makes it impossible for him to conceal his growing feelings for the woman he is deceiving on a daily basis. How this dilemma is resolved and the embattled couple wind up together makes for a satisfying read, and watching straight arrow Devlin unbend enough to fall for the gangster’s ward is touching as well as amusing.
