But your post makes me think that I wouldn't mind seeing Gone with the Wind on the big screen as I've only seen it on my television. The vivid colors typical of those 1940's movies that did invest in color filming have a quality that you don't see in modern movies anymore. I think it would look good on the big screen.

It did, the version we saw was the recently restored one, the quality was exceptional, it could have been filmed recently. Hopefully they'll play more classics soon.
Looking at the films that are schedules to be shown in the coming months I think I'll get a 10-film card (only €6,80 per film no matter what time of the day/week you go).
