I am sorry if I have been unable to be complete/precise enough. I'm not a programmer, so I am giving the information as an 'end user'.
Sigil crashes the same way every time. It happens as soon as the ebook finishes loading - after all views are populated. It doesn't matter if I am in book view or code view.

This last time it happened when I completed the following sequence:
1. I opened book 4 of a series. (Code view is the default view)
2. I did a search for characters only "t know what" -still in code view.
3. Removed the "<" that was showing (in ebook) "don'<t know.."
4. Switched to book view to verify error was corrected. It was.
5. Clicked on Save icon.
6. Clicked on Open icon.
7. Selected the next book in the series by double clicking on the filename.
Sigil crashed as soon as the book finished loading. I happens before I even click on anything.

Notes:
I repeated all the above steps (I added the "<" back, saved, removed it, saved, repeated the rest of the steps exactly - Sigil did not crash.
The books have all previously been edited in Sigil - it is the only program I use.
I repeated the steps with the 1st book in code view and in book view before selecting the next. It did not crash.
Once I restart Sigil the ebook that crashed loads with no problems.
Sometime it doesn't crash until I've worked on several books and sometimes it happens after the first book.
When It crashes all settings revert back to how they were when Sigil was started (today). The open folder dialog box goes back to where it was the last time Sigil was closed without crashing.

As always I am very thankful for your assistance and will provide any information requested. If you need error logs other than the Windows Application Error (see below), please give me instructions on how to obtain the information and I will provide it.
