I could swear that this same thing is happening with my Paperwhite - and only on the left side, too. I am quite sure I am not touching the screen at all when this occurs. But...when I actually try to get the page to turn by deliberately pressing on the left hand bezel, nothing seems to happen. As Ripplinger suggested, it must indeed be "very easy to touch the screen and not be aware of it...."
