I was not trying to claim that Windows doesn't have that option.
I did not even *mention* Windows in my post.
I was answering question about update nagging in Linux. I also mentioned that this is the default setting in Mint Linux.

I use Windows at work and I support quite a few Windows users [at work and also among family and friends], so I am well aware what can be done in Windows.

by the way, *this* is what proper looks like:
