Yeah, I am with you. The way the Fire6 is doing the collections and just books also is very different from what I am used to. The only other fires I have are from 2012 and 2011 and I never used them for reading.
What I don't like about the Fire is how I can't sort the collections by recent. And how I can't see how many items are in the collections. And like the android app, I can't uncheck the collections I don't want a book to be in it to take them out of the collections. I have many collections and many books. I can do that on the paperwhite, I can go in a book and add to collection and then just uncheck or check and the book will be out from those collections. But its a PW1 and it takes literealy minutes for each book to do that its lagging so bad.
At least on my Nexus with the app, I could sort by recent and then I have to go into each collection, find the book and take it out of collection. But the last update has messed up the kindle app so bad I can't use the Nexus to read kindle books anymore. It looks up ever time I click on collections.
So I use the Fire6, but there I can't sort collections by recent and so it takes me forever to take books out of collections. I have to scroll through 100's of books in the collections.
After I read a book it goes into "read" and I have to take it out of the many other collections it is in. Like I said, I like to have many to sort my books by many means. Some of those books of course are docs really.
I think the Fire makes sorting a bit more complicated for me. I just wish they'd let me all this sorting and unsorting from the website. Now that would be an improvement.
