As DiapDelaer pointed out, what we would need to fix any of these issues is not a vague report of just what you think you were doing at the time. We need a sample epub that exhibits the problem and the sequence of steps that can make the bug happen in a repeatable manner.
With that type of information, we have some chance of reproducing the bug and actually tracking it down and if inside Sigil fixing it. If it is inside Qt we can pass the bug report along to Qt and then try to work around it from our end.
So if you get another crash at some point. Please take the epub you were working on and repeat the exact same sequence of events (noting what they were) and seeing if the crash will replicate. If so, let us know.
Thanks,
Kevin
ps: FWIW - we are working on a pure bugfix release 0.8.3 that already has a number of crashes fixed or avoided and hope to fix a few more before making the next release so these types of more useful bug reports would be strongly welcomed.
We have already found 3 bugs in the latest version Qt (and all earlier versions) and have passed them along. We have a workaround for one of them but fixes for these are important for us.

I am still trying to track down another bug related to closing windows that also appears to be Qt caused. Once I get that nailed down and worked around we will make the 0.8.3 bug fix release.
Thanks,
