Well, I did receive a response from the Algonquin Hotel. Not directly from Gary Budge, General Manager, he directed it to Jenna Arin, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Here is my email to Gary
Quote:
Mr. Budge,
I notice that your Hotel offers a loan on a Kindle during your stay. But the website describes the Kindle as "loaded with your favorite audio book". As I understand it, the Kindle is primarily a way to read digital books, not listen to them. Is getting a digital book to read an option, or are audio books the only choice?
Thank you,
Donn (last Name)

And here is Ms. Arin's response
Quote:
Hi Donn and Thank You for your email! We will remove the word "Audio" from the services page of the website regarding the description. The Kindle is a visual apparatus. Thank you for your inquiry and please also read more about it under the Press Release section of the website!
Thank You
Jenna

Quick, and sensible response from The Algonquin Hotel! Bonus points for referring to the Kindle as a "visual apparatus"!
When in New York, I know where I will be staying.
And when in Peru, it will of course be, the splendorous Dr. Drib's!
