If it the same as in the other photo, you would be able to see a hinge when looking at an angle. But, I am sure that it isn't. Or at least it doesn't in the N905B Touch that I have pulled apart and in my Glo. In both, the card simply pushes in and is a tight fit. Pulling on the ridge on the end of the card is all that is needed to pull it out.

Those arrows on the metal cover indicate to me that it slides. But, maybe Kobo used the same socket as for the external card. This has to be pushed in a little and then released and it pops out.
