Setting number of pages when sending a book to a Kindle

In post #57 of the thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=126220&page=4 JSWolf said:

Calibre does the page numbers when you send to the Kindle. And also you can specify the number of pages so you get to match the print edition's total number of pages.

Now I'm aware of the first sentence but is the second sentence really true? If so, how do I do it? The "Send to Device" button in Calibre doesn't seem to have anything about this.
